MITROS Control Panel 

This panel is where the MITROS operator selects sampling rates, specifies file identifiers and chooses other attributes of an observing session. Once the parameters of the experiment have been selected "Apply All Settings" is clicked and the program looks for the analog-to-digital converter. If found, the program initializes the device and waits for the operator to signal when the observing session is to begin. Alternatively, automatic commencement of the session can be specified for any time in the future.

The equipment operator can then monitor meteor activity in real time on the computer screen.
